Al-Marsad newspaper: Dr. Hamed Al-Omrani revealed his journey from medicine to agriculture, receiving the award for the best Saudi farmer for the year 2021, and classifying his farm as the first organic farm in the Eastern Province.
Al-Omrani said in an interview with “Saudi Arabia” channel: I was an anesthesiologist and I had the opportunity to visit Tunisia and attended a conference and learned many things regarding food and chemicals that cause cancer and decided to pursue organic farming.
He added: “There is currently a trend in the country that food is completely safe, healthy and sound, and all agricultural cycles of the country are simplified from animal fertilizers, plant extracts and food fertilization naturally, and the production is used for human and animal consumption as well.”
