A doctor reveals the diseases that prevent eating ice cream

Al-Marsad newspaper: Dr. Natalia Kruglova, a Russian nutrition expert, revealed that it is necessary to reduce the intake of cold foods and drinks.

She points out that ice cream and cold foods such as salads and chilled drinks in hot weather are usually exciting and attractive. However, some people are not advised to take it.

“These foods are not dangerous for healthy people and they can be eaten in moderation,” she says. “However, people who suffer from gastrointestinal diseases such as gastroesophageal reflux disease, should refrain from eating them or reduce their intake as much as possible. Because cold foods and drinks cause exacerbation of the condition.”

It is also not recommended to consume cold foods and drinks for people who suffer from gallbladder problems, including the presence of stones in the bile sac. Consuming these foods and drinks regularly when there are digestive issues can cause bloating and upset stools.”

She adds, sometimes consuming cold foods and drinks can lead to headaches.

“Cold foods and iced drinks can cause a so-called cold headache,” she says. “This is a personal reaction to eating them, and this especially includes people who often suffer from headaches.”

In general, cold foods and drinks can become an additional factor in the development of cold diseases.
