Cai Youhong recalled that on a certain day in November 1981, the mother of the three siblings went out and did not come back. The 5-year-old sister and 3-year-old brother were also taken away by a Chongqing man and have since lost news; not long after the younger siblings disappeared, Cai Youhong was also taken away from home by the landlord surnamed Zhang one day and sent to the home of a villager surnamed Zhang in a remote mountain village in Shuangxi Town, Pingnan County.
