The security services in the Ministry of Interior have arrested a famous nutritionist, accusing her of defrauding citizens and selling and promoting fake medicines, on the pretext that they eliminate obesity.
Investigations revealed that the nutrition expert announced drugs of unknown source and not approved by official authorities, through many different media channels, with the intent of making material profits, and a report was issued regarding the incident, and the necessary legal measures were taken.
Investigations revealed that the nutritionist had established a satellite channel, through which she presented her herbal products, and deluded many victims into treating obesity through herbs, in exchange for large sums of money from those advertisements and medically unauthorized prescriptions.
The expert claimed that she is a slimming specialist approved by the Ministry of Health and Population, contrary to the truth, as she stated that she was the first founder of the idea of liposuction online in Egypt, in order to promote its own medicines to treat obesity.
She also claimed that she is an expert in the field of nutrition, and holds a doctorate in therapeutic nutrition from Newcastle University in Britain, and the owner of the Egypt Without Obesity initiative, to combat the damages of obesity through its continuous initiatives to combat obesity, through fraudulent medicines and without permits from the Ministry of Health.
