Fabien Roussel judges that disagreements on nuclear power can be expressed “alongside” the agreement between the PCF and LFI
Fabien Roussel, former communist presidential candidate, is delighted on France Inter with the agreement reached yesterday between La France insoumise and the Communist Party. “We said that, within the framework of the legislature contract, we want to show the French people what we agree on and that we will implement immediately. Asked about the disagreements around nuclear power between LFI and PCF, Mr. Roussel felt that they could be expressed, despite the agreement. “The points on which we disagree, well, we have decided that we have the autonomy and the right to defend them alongside this government agreement on which we find ourselves. (…) We will continue to defend the principles that are ours.promises the communist.
“There is no bend on the wing”defends the former presidential candidate. “On the contrary, there is a frank determination to prevail, to win, to put in place a majority on the left with several political forces which will continue to bring their differences to life”he assures.
A majority on the left, including a political force, mine, will continue to defend the energy mix, because we believe in it, because we know it is essential, because we know that, without it, the power to purchase of the French will be attacked, because electricity bills will continue to rise.
“We will not win if tomorrow there is a single party headed by Jean-Luc Mélenchon and behind which everyone should rally. It will not work. We will get there if we add all the sensitivities”declares Mr. Roussel, pleading for a union between socialists, ecologists, communists and “rebellious”.
