The Department of Estimates at the Meteorological Authority stated, “A very effective depression centered over Greece, dominates Lebanon and the eastern basin of the Mediterranean, and is accompanied by relatively cold air masses, and leads to rain, snow, strong winds and thunderstorms, and continues until Saturday noon, when it gradually recedes.” Noting that “the average temperature on the coast for the month of November is between 16 and 25 degrees Celsius.”

And she explained in her morning bulletin, that “the expected weather in Lebanon today, Thursday, is partly cloudy with a gradual drop in temperatures, gradually turning into cloudy, with the formation of dense fog on the heights, and sporadic rains that intensify as of noon, with hail falling, and torrential rains are formed and accompanied.” With thunderstorms and active winds that intensify at night, approaching 80 km / h. It warned of “the danger of flying billboards and solar panels.” And it stated that “the sea waves sometimes rise to five meters, and snow begins to fall, starting from a height of 2700 meters, and the level of precipitation decreases at night to touch 2400 meters.”

And the Department of Estimates pointed out that “the weather expected tomorrow, Friday, is generally cloudy, with a significant decrease in temperatures that become below their seasonal averages, and thick fog forms on the highlands, and sporadic rains that are sometimes heavy and accompanied by thunderstorms (warning of the formation of torrents as a result of heavy rain). The winds also intensify, approaching 80 km / h, with which the sea wave rises to 5 meters, and snow falls at an altitude of 2400 meters, and the level of its precipitation decreases during the night and dawn on Saturday, to touch the height of 2000 meters.

It also indicated that “the weather expected on Saturday is generally cloudy, with fog on the heights and an additional decrease in temperatures, and the possibility of some sporadic rain falling during the morning; the weather will gradually improve starting from the morning and turn to partly cloudy. As for the weather expected on Sunday, it will be few clouds to partly cloudy. With high clouds, with a limited rise in temperatures.

The department added, “Surface winds: southwesterly, with speeds between 15 and 45 km/h, intensifying at night, approaching 80 km/h. Swelling is medium on the coast and gets worse on heights due to fog and abundance of rain. Relative humidity on the coast is between 55 and 80%. Sea condition is average. Wave height to wavy, water surface temperature 24 degrees Celsius.
