It is not known for what reason, the hitchhiker fired a gun at the vehicle several times. The circumstances of this attack are not yet very clear but according to Michel Evans, 1st alderman of the Commune of Anthisnes, the driver, born in 1986, was seriously injured while the lady was out of the woods. The wife was slightly injured but their child is unharmed.
According to the Liège prosecutor’s office, the shooter then fled into the woods. The police were notified and a manhunt was set up.
“The federal police intervened with the Condroz police, specifies the alderman. A police helicopter even came to the scene.”
The author was finally intercepted around 3am. He is a Dutch-speaker born in 2000. Having not yet been heard, we do not yet know what motivated his action. JL.T.
