Dhaka | A huge fire broke out in a Rohingya refugee camp in Bangladesh. The fire broke out at the Balukhali camp in Cox’s Bazar district. No casualties were reported.

The U.S. Fire Department confirmed that thousands were displaced following the shacks burned down. The flow of Rohingya refugees to Bangladesh intensified in 2017 when the Myanmar army intensified its crackdown.

Bangladesh has set up 32 refugee camps for Rohingyas in Cox’s Bazar district alone. It is estimated that 7.4 lakh Rohingyas are living as refugees in the country.
