A major Montreal hotel changes ownership

One of Canada’s leading real estate developers acquired the InterContinental hotel on Wednesday near the Palais des Congrès in Montreal.

The 26-storey building, located between Old Montreal and downtown Montreal, has 357 rooms and more than 25,000 square feet of space available for conferences and events.

This is the latest acquisition by the Canadian group MACH, which already owns more than 240 buildings.

“The InterContinental hotel is a real estate asset with incredible potential. Over the next few months, we will deploy a major investment plan to bring the hotel up to the highest standards of quality and luxury,” said Vincent Chiara, president and founder of MACH, in a press release.
