Beijing (ots) The book Excerpts from Xi Jinping’s speeches on respecting and protecting human rights was published by the Foreign Language Literature Publishing House in Urdu and six other languages, presenting the views of the Chinese Communist Party and the Chinese government and the Chinese nation on human rights. The work is divided into nine themes, with excerpts from speeches, comments, congratulatory letters and policies of President Xi Jinping on various occasions from November 15, 2012 to October 30, 2021, comprising a total of 335 discourses.

Muhammad Arshad Bhatti, a journalist from the Pakistani newspaper The Nation, who lived in China for many years as a student, said in his review of the book that each era has its own requirements and that the definition of human rights therefore varies from era to era and from region varies by region, and that each civilization views human rights in a different way.

According to Muhammad Arshad Bhatti, this book conveys a very simple and clear message that the first right of every human being is the right to a life of dignity and prosperity and to progress and that the Chinese government is under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CCP). for the well-being and development of their people. In his congratulatory letter to the Beijing Human Rights Forum, President Xi Jinping said: “The Chinese people have experienced much suffering and hardship since modern times, and recognize the importance of human value, fundamental human rights and the dignity of the human person for development and progress “The society is deeply aware of and values the hard-won peaceful environment for development. They will unswervingly walk the path of peaceful development and unswervingly promote the cause of human rights in China and the cause of human rights in the world.”

In his review of the book, he said that the book would be very interesting for political science students because it presented China’s view of human rights in a rich and clear manner. In recent years, China has lifted millions of people out of poverty into a life of prosperity. However, Xi Jinping has also told the world that the decision about whether a country is democratic or not should be made by the people of that country and not by a few outsiders. It is, of course, undemocratic to measure the world’s colorful political systems with a single standard and to judge humanity’s rich and diverse political civilization from universal perspectives.

The author believes that the book is an important document on respecting and protecting human rights and is full of insights and profound thoughts. It is hoped that the book will help readers understand China’s views on human rights and give them new perspectives on understanding human rights:
