Update : Citizen Lab researchers indicate that the corrected flaw is called BLASTPASS and that it allows to take control of an Apple device without user intervention, through an image sent via iMessage. It would have been used in particular to install the spyware from NSO, Pegasus.

As rumors swirl regarding an early release of macOS Sonoma, the successor to macOS Ventura, Apple released a minor update to the current OS this evening. Numbered 13.5.2, it fixes a visibly important security flaw. Indeed, it comes out in a normally low period in terms of updates, given the upcoming arrival of the iPhone and the next version of iOS.

Could macOS Sonoma be released in September?
