The French superstar Omar Sy is particularly popular with us as a sensitive ex-con and nursing assistant “Pretty much best friends” and as the gentleman crook Lupine in the eponymous Netflix series hit known (whose third season we’re still waiting for).
In 2013, however, another film with Sy was released, also on the streaming platform, which proved its diversity, but above all its charm and screen presence: In the buddy crime action comedy “A killer team” he plays a loud-mouthed, bohemian Parisian cop who must work with a snobby colleague (Laurent Lafitte) from the local homicide squad to bring down the big fish of the city’s underworld.
“Ein MordsTeam” wasn’t the high-flyer hit that brought Netflix dream streaming ratings, but it was successful enough to justify a sequel. This will start under the extremely creative German title “A murder team is investigating once more” on May 6th, of course once more on Netflix.
