A new American winger at the NUC

Kayla Lund: this is the name of the new American NUC recruit, in the Women’s Volleyball League A. The Neuchâtel club announced on Tuesday the commitment of this winger, 23 years old and 1m83, from the University of Pittsburgh. She signed a one-year contract.

As a junior, she was twice crowned “player of the year” in 2019 and 2020. In 2021, Kayla Lund was the first player from her club to receive the prestigious “All America First Team” award, which made she is one of the twelve best players in the university championship. She will leave the United States for the first time.

“Kayla Lund is also a personality with great leadership, while knowing how to keep a lot of empathy for her teammates,” said the NUC press release. “With Maddie Haynes, they will form a pair of complementary wingers with very interesting prospects”. /comm-mine
