The Punjab Kings have given a new lease of life to South African legend Jonty Rhodes. The current fielding coach has been given the additional responsibility of batting coach by the team management. With the resignation of Wasim Jaffer, a new role came in search of Jonty.
Jonty Rhodes, one of the greatest fielders of all time, has scored 5935 runs in ODIs and 2532 runs in Tests. Jonty participated in the megastar auction with Anil Kumble and the owners. The Punjab Kings, who have yet to win an IPL title, will be coached by legendary spinner and former Team India coach Anil Kumble.
Pace bowling coach Damien Wright oversees the training of Kuble Spoin players. The Punjab Kings are hoping to bring the best players to the mega auction ahead of the IPL 2022 season. The last time the Punjab team played a final was in 2014.
