According to the information received by the AA correspondent, ASELSAN is also working on platforms that will be widely used in the battlefield of the future, that can be controlled remotely, and that have the ability to make decisions and implement on their own.
ASELSAN, which has gained significant experience with solutions such as underwater acoustic and sonar systems, torpedo and torpedo countermeasure systems, creates solutions that combine these capabilities with underwater unmanned systems.
Unmanned underwater systems have many different uses in the field of defense. The developed solutions are used in the defense of ships and submarines, and in the protection of critical ports and upper areas. By sending autonomous underwater vehicles to the open of critical ports, the approaching enemy threat can be detected.
In addition, attacks can be carried out with underwater autonomous vehicles without putting any personnel at risk. Enemy elements can be neutralized with vehicles that contain explosives or ammunition.
These vehicles can also be used in underwater search and rescue operations. Underwater autonomous vehicles contribute to the detection of an aircraft that has fallen into the sea.
These vehicles are used in areas such as mine detection, identification and destruction, and fleet escort.
ASELSAN’s agenda includes solutions for underwater surveillance that can be used for both defense and attack purposes.
The company has designed an autonomous surface vehicle that will contribute to meeting these needs.
With the products it will produce in this field, ASELSAN aims to provide important tactical capabilities to the naval elements of friendly and allied countries, especially the Turkish Naval Forces.
In the coming period, studies are carried out to provide the Turkish Navy with autonomous surface and underwater sea vehicles developed with domestic means.
