The 2021 to 2023 range of MacBook Air is complete on Apple with the 13 “M1 which remains in the catalog, the 13” M2 which sees its price melt and the new 15 “which is installed at the top of the steps.

The new large model starts at €1,599 with its M2 (8-core CPU and 10-core GPU) in 8/256 GB and it goes on to €1,829 in 8/512 GB. It follows the characteristics of the 13″ M2 with SSD capacities of 1 and 2 TB and 16 or 24 GB RAM.

15″ and 13″ MacBook Air

The resolution increases, like the diagonal, with 2,880 x 1,864 pixels instead of 2,560 x 1,664 pixels on the 13″ and the same brightness of 500 nits. It is also heavier at 1.51 kg compared to 1.24 kg and bigger everywhere, logically.

With more room around the keyboard, audio capabilities are improved. This goes through six speakers with woofers instead of 4 without woofer. No change to Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3, or to connectivity (two Thunderbolt / USB 4 ports and a mini jack). The announced autonomy is the same as with the 13 “M2.

The 13″ previous model with M2 price drop to €1,299 (8/256 GB, 8-core CPU and 8-core GPU) and €1,649 (8/512 GB, 8-core CPU and 10-core GPU). That’s a $200 reduction on both of these configurations compared to when they launched last summer.

The always valiant MacBook Air M1 continues to fulfill its entry-level role in lightweight Apple Silicon laptops with a starting configuration at €1,199 (8/256 GB). No price reduction, here it will always be necessary to monitor those at the Fnac or at Amazon who regularly put it at €999.

The 15″ MacBook Air is available in the same colors as the 13″ and the first orders will be delivered on June 13 or 14.
