An orphan photo leaked by the United Nations General Assembly meetings, was enough toignited the anger of many Iraqis.
During the past hours, Iraqi activists circulated a picture showing an Iraqi diplomat “studying” watching a football match, while the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly in its current session were continuing in full swing.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is following up on the issue of the photo that was circulated of a diplomatic employee who was distracted from following up on his duties during the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly in its current session, and we will take the appropriate measures to ensure the presence of Iraqi diplomacy. pic.twitter.com/X6wdrj94G6

The screenshot showed a laptop screen in front of the diplomat, whose identity was not known, and it was clear that he was watching a football match, instead of “following his duties!”
The ministry is moving
On the other hand, the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced in a statement on its official accounts on the communication sites yesterday evening, Saturday, that it is following up on the subject of the photo that was circulated of the diplomatic employee, who was busy following up on his duties during the meetings of the General Assembly.
It also confirmed that it will take appropriate measures against him, to ensure the presence of Iraqi diplomacy.
This picture came about a month after the crisis of the Iraqi ambassador to Jordan, Haider Al-Adhari, last August, which prompted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to move at the time, and summoned him to Baghdad, after photos published by his wife with the Lebanese artist Ragheb Alama, “which some Iraqis described as inappropriate.”
