Although train travel is convenient to reach the destination faster than other means of transportation, trips to the railway station or metro station to board them cannot be avoided. It sounds like an exaggeration, but this railway line, which was built considering the convenience of the local residents and the easy way to provide transportation without demolishing the buildings, is very famous both inside and outside the country today.
Chongqing is known as the Mountain City because it is a city with many tall buildings. 49 million people live in an area of 31,000 square miles. The main concern of the government is to facilitate the journey of all of them. That’s how the 19-storey building’s railway track was built to make it easier for the residents.
This building is an apartment complex. Residents here only need to reach the 6th or 8th floor to board the train. Apart from the convenience of the people, there is another reason for arranging the railways in this way. By 2004, the city was filled with large buildings. When a new railway line was considered, the thought was how to make space between these buildings.
A 19-story apartment complex stood in the way of the railroad. After thinking about how to pave the way without demolishing the building, he came up with the idea of building a railway through the building itself. Generally, the prices of houses in these areas tend to decrease because there are many difficulties in the areas where the train passes. But here, the price of the houses in the building was skyrocketing as the public transport facility reached the backyard.
Another attraction is that even though the train passes through the building, you will not have to feel any of its noise. A train makes only 60 decibels of sound as it passes. Apart from all this it has been ensured that there is no air pollution.
