Al-Marsad Newspaper: A rare video clip documented a dialogue session, in which King Fahd, may God have mercy on him, participated in it, in which he revealed the reason for allowing Russian planes to land in Jeddah and what the Soviet Union requested of him.
And King Fahd recounted, through the video published by the “King Fahd” account on Twitter, that the Soviet Union asked him for Soviet planes to come to Jeddah to carry the Qur’an that the kingdom intended to send to Muslims there.
King Fahd added that he asked the Soviet Union regarding the reason for its request to transfer the Qur’an to the Muslims present there, especially since Saudi planes are able to transport them. The head of the union replied to him saying: “I want it to be said that we transmitted the Qur’an to the Muslims,” and the Kingdom welcomed that, considering that a victory from God, especially That this request was the first of its kind in the history of the Soviet Union.
