Sharjah – Funeral services were held on Friday at the Sharjah St. Mary’s Jacobite Syrian Patriarchal Cathedral.
The prayer started at eight in the morning. Performed circumambulation. Slieba then performed salutations and burial.
All the devotees were given bitter juice made from choruka, chenninayaka and paava. The ceremony ended at 4 pm. Porridge was distributed to end the fast.
About 3000 believers participated. In Fr. Ebin Umel, Fr. Eldos Cavat, Fr. Elias Mathew led the way.
