Heart attacks are one of the most dangerous forms of heart disease, and heart attacks may occur when blood flow to the heart suddenly stops.
Symptoms include the ears, a condition known as “Frank’s sign”, after the American doctor who first noticed it, Dr. Sander Frank.
Frank first discovered this phenomenon when he observed it in patients with chest pain and blockage in the coronary arteries.
“Frank’s sign” is also known as a diagonal earlobe crease, which extends below the earlobe, according to the Express.
Some studies have pointed out that this wrinkle is associated with an increased risk of heart disease, and while the “Frank’s sign” is linked to heart disease, it does not necessarily mean that the person with it has heart disease.
One theory is that Frank’s sign is linked to a loss of elastin and elastic fibres, a process that damages blood vessels in people with coronary heart disease.
