The Government of Quebec now publishes on its website the state of the emergency situation in all regions of the province. At the microphone of All one morning, the Minister of Health, Christian Dubé, affirms that only a third of people in emergencies arrive by ambulance on a stretcher and that the remaining two thirds present themselves there by their own means. He hopes that this information will help to reduce the pressure in hospitals.

During the interview, Christian Dubé explains the difference between the following indicators on the site:

  • The occupancy rate of the stretchers;
  • The total number of people in the emergency room;
  • The number of people waiting to see a doctor.
