The price of gold fell today, Wednesday, in Egypt, during trading, at a slight value, and the gram fell by one pound, compared to its level in the middle of today’s trading, due to the decline in the metal globally, according to Naguib Naguib, former Secretary General of the Gold Division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, to Masrawy.
The movement of gold in the local market has been fluctuating between ups and downs since the beginning of this month, according to Najib.
Najib added that the buying and selling movement is weak in the local market during the current period.
And gold sales declined during the last quarter of this year, especially with the beginning of the school year, according to Ihab Wassef, head of the Gold Division of the Federation of Industries, to Masrawy earlier.
Hani Milad, head of the Gold Division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, expected the market’s sales to move during the first half of the academic year vacation.

14 karat gold prices fell to 530 pounds per gram.
And the price of 18 karat gold fell to 681 pounds per gram.
And the price of 21 karat gold fell to 795 pounds per gram.
And the price of 24 carat gold fell to 909 pounds per gram.
