Al-Marsad Newspaper: Dr. Sami Al-Hamoud, an addiction specialist, revealed the possibility of a Shabu drug user returning to his normal life following the treatment program.

Al-Hamoud said during his appearance on the Ya Hala program, that the drug user will improve according to scientific studies, but the survival of the substance affecting the mind is a matter of dispute.

He added that some of the negative effects will remain, and the doctor who treats the case of addiction prescribes medications that reduce the effects, and there are some who say that it takes 100 days for the brain to prepare its activity.

He added that the situation will undoubtedly improve, and some effects may remain and can be remedied through recovery and prevention programmes.
