And the British newspaper, Daily Mail, reported that the American journalist learned about this secret from a source who witnessed the American president taking medication during the 2020 election campaign. He said that Biden, before taking the pills, acted “like a little kid.”
According to the newspaper, the source, the witness, said: “You would not have contacted him. Then after taking the pills he changed completely, because he was taking psychotropic substances and it is clear that he is still taking them.”
However, the British newspaper reports that Biden’s private doctor confirmed that he is taking medication for irregular heartbeat, high cholesterol and seasonal allergies, and none of these medications are considered cognitive enhancers.
The American journalist and the witness are not the first to talk about Biden’s cognitive abilities, as former US President Donald Trump attacked him, considering that “Biden is taking strong drugs,” as he described it.
For his part, former White House physician and Republican Representative Ronnie Jackson spoke last April that Biden’s cognitive abilities had deteriorated to the point that it had become a “national security issue,” noting in particular that the US president suffers from slow speech and many slips of the tongue.
American journalist Peter Baker concluded on July 10 that Biden is unlikely to be able to run for a second term for health reasons, and according to the article, public opinion polls show that many Americans consider him too “old”.
US President Joe Biden was known for his frequent missteps and slips of the tongue, some of which were corrected by the White House, and others that almost led America to military and political disputes.
A poll by Politico, in cooperation with the Morning Consult Center about two months ago, showed that only 44 percent of Americans who were surveyed agree with US President Joe Biden’s job performance, while only 46 percent think he is “mentally fit.”
Politico said in its report that voters were increasingly skeptical about the health and mental fitness of Biden, the oldest president to have been sworn in in the White House.
ABC News and The Washington Post also conducted a poll prior to the US President’s State of the Union address in early March that showed that the majority of Americans (54 percent) “do not believe that President Biden has the mental capabilities that the presidency requires.”
Biden made several diplomatic lapses during meetings with officials and politicians outside the country, including when he pledged to confront China militarily to defend Taiwan during a visit he made to Japan, for the White House to return and hurry to correct the political “mistake” that almost caused a “disaster” through the escalation with China.
