In recent years, Sonic the Hedgehog fans have warmly welcomed the expansion of the universe through films and animated series like Sonic Boom.
The next project to make this list is Sonic Prime, an upcoming series from Netflix that brings us a whole new adventure with Sonic, his enemies and friends.
Today, Netflix and Sega released a trailer that shows Sonic in his usual habitat – racing through the green hills from his worst enemies, including Dr. Robotnik and everyone’s favorite Shadow.
Another familiar face you saw in the trailer above is Big the Cat. This fan-favorite character will appear in the upcoming game Sonic Frontiers along with a role in an upcoming show.
In the game, Big Cat will reportedly hide in a portal and offer a fishing mini-game. The fish can be exchanged for tokens, which unlock voice diaries, additional content, and more.
As for the animated show, Sonic Prime will release exclusively on Netflix this winter.
