A train derailed and caught fire in Maine, USA

The American news network (CNN) quoted officials as saying that a train derailed and caught fire today, Saturday, in a village in the US state of Maine.

Officials said the derailed train cars were carrying logs and wire. A spokesman for the Canadian Pacific Rail network, Kansas City, said other carriages were carrying hazardous materials but were not affected by the derailment and fire.

Officials said the derailment was most likely caused by drifting ice and debris on the tracks.
