A home invasion was committed Wednesday evening at the family home of baker Arnaud Schreiber in Welkenraedt.
“After 10 pm, when the eldest son of the family returned, three hooded and gloved individuals rushed after him”, according to the ff divisional prosecutor of the Verviers prosecutor’s office, who specifies that two of the thugs were armed with weapons fist.
“The son was beaten. He shouted, which roused the rest of the family who rushed downstairs. The thugs tried to open the coffers and get money, ”explains the prosecution.
While the family did not keep any money at home, the thieves fled in the son’s car. According to the prosecution, the vehicle was found set on fire in Henri-Chapelle.
No suspect has yet been arrested in connection with this case.
