Social networks are full of unpublished stories and events that are sometimes hard to believe. Some days ago, a woman went viral after she was unexpectedly filmed walking down the street with a giant dog. However, what caused a stir was that the animal was huge and users of social networks debated what their species was: a wolf, a hyena or one of the creatures of the series Game of Thrones?
It was all because of the clip posted on the Tiktok account @lauracalvillo09where a woman exposed the video with the following description: “what kind of dog is this? It can’t be a wolf.” Immediately the images toured different platforms waiting to guess the identity of “the beast”, as many called it.
The woman was seen with her pet in Hardee County, Florida, while calmly giving him a walk in the garden. Of course the giant dog was on a leash, but passers-by who saw her were stunned to see that she was as tall as her owner’s waist.
The reaction of the tiktokeros did not take long to arrive either. “There’s no way that lady could control that wolf if she tried to chase after someone.”, “The only thing I know is that I will not approach her”, “There is a 0% chance that she can control that if she decides to go after someone”, were the comments of the people who considered that the size of the animal was disproportionate to that of its owner.
In the background of the recording, a child is heard showing his astonishment at the size of the supposed dog., while his mother asks him if he thinks it is a wolf or a dog. The minor does not enter into debate and says “a dog”. However, his mother replies that it could actually be a “beast”. Apparently, the virtual community thought the same, since they did not stop in their attempts to discover the nature of the animal.
Some people considered it to be a mutant dog, others said it was an Irish Wolfhound or a Scottish Deerhound, because both usually reach a height of up to 88 centimeters. Other tiktokeros assured that it was a hyena. The assumptions were not lacking: “That is Haley Quinn’s hyena”, “It is her husband in the form of a werewolf”, some wrote jokingly. Another was encouraged to mention the popular series Game of Throneswhich has creatures of this type.
And of course, there were other people who took the situation with humor cataloged the clip as a scene from the movies Twilight, whose plot tells about vampires and werewolves. This saga of films was very popular for the effects that were used to bring the main creatures to life. Some even dared to make jokes about it. “It’s Jacob,” “The woman is Belle checking the location of the beasts.”, “If Bella had finished with Jacob, it would have been them in the future”, they left between the reactions.
