On 27th March 2023 at 09:38 PM IST, there was an accident between a car and a bike at Kottayam’s National Highway near the school. Unfortunately, the bike rider, Kottayam Nattaseri Anandu Venu, died due to the collision. The car was overspeeding to overtake another vehicle when it hit the bike coming from the opposite direction. CCTV footage of the accident is available. Anandu was immediately taken to Kottayam Medical College Hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

The bike was hit by a car that came in the opposite direction at too high a speed to overtake another vehicle. Anandu was taken to Kottayam Medical College Hospital but he died.
