A young woman gave birth to a baby in the courtyard of the Prophet’s mosque in Madinah. The birth took place in the courtyard of Masjid Dunna Bavi in Madinah. The Director of the Red Crescent Authority Medina Branch informed that the Saudi Red Crescent Authority was providing emergency assistance after the woman suddenly felt labor pains. Volunteers arrived from the ambulance center in Al-Haram area and assisted the woman in childbirth. By the time the volunteers arrived, the woman had started giving birth. After confirming that the mother and child were healthy, the team took the baby out and transferred it to the Bab Jibreel Health Center.

Red Crescent Authority Medina Branch Director Al-Zahrani said the team members were able to help the young woman as a result of efforts to intensify specialized medical courses and provide emergency training to volunteers.
He also appealed to the public to call 997 or use the ‘Help Me’ app to request an ambulance in such an emergency.
