Abandoned cocktail found in front of school

Police recovered two abandoned cocktails in front of a school in Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj. Two unexploded cocktails were recovered in front of AQ Chowdhury Nari Kalyan Shiklayay in Ajgubi village of Shyampur upazila on Friday morning (March 7).

According to police and local sources, workers were working on the road in the morning. At this time a cocktail came up with a worker’s spade. The worker threw the cocktail in fear and it exploded. However, there were no casualties. Later, when the locals informed the police station, the police reached the spot and recovered two more cocktails in unexploded condition.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shibganj Police Station, Chowdhury Zobair Ahmed confirmed the matter and said, ‘The police have started an investigation into the incident. Legal action will be taken once morest those involved.’
