Potential buyers have been told that a Russian businessman has put Chelsea up for sale and wants £4bn for the club, according to The Telegraph.

The American bank Raine acts as an intermediary in the deal, negotiating with potential investors.

Abramovich invited interested parties to bid for the club this week. The Chelsea owner is reportedly unlikely to receive offers above £2bn.

In England, they did not understand Abramovich’s statement. Now they are investigating the Chelsea charity and calling it a Russian ploy
