Abu Dhabi Judicial Department Trains Abu Dhabi Sports Council Employees in Judicial and Administrative Oversight

ABU DHABI, 19th June, 2019 (WAM) — The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, represented by the Abu Dhabi Judicial Academy, concluded a specialized training program for qualification to grant the status of administrative and judicial officers to the first batch of Abu Dhabi Sports Council employees, who number 10 trainees, as part of the efforts aimed at developing capabilities and skills. National cadres specialized in the legal and sports fields, and providing them with the necessary knowledge to perform their oversight and inspection duties in accordance with the highest approved international standards.

His Excellency Counselor Youssef Saeed Al Abri, Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, stressed the keenness to implement qualifying programs to grant the status of administrative and judicial officers, in accordance with the best international practices in the field of academic and practical training, in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Presidential Court, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, by supporting efforts to improve institutional performance in various sectors in order to enhance the competitiveness of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

For his part, Ahmed Ibrahim Al Marzouqi, Executive Director of the Administrative Support Sector at the Judicial Department, and General Supervisor of the Abu Dhabi Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) branch, stated, during the ceremony of handing over certificates to graduates of the qualifying program, that the preparation of the cadre specialized in the sports legal field, to obtain the status of Al-Dabiyah, contributes to the development of work in this field, by activating the supervision that ensures the achievement of a pioneering system that is in line with the global pioneering directions of the Abu Dhabi government.

For his part, Talal Al Hashemi, Executive Director of the Sports Development Sector at the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, said that maintaining public order is a common goal among all government and private agencies and institutions, and the judicial police program comes to support the achievement of this goal, by establishing legal rules and regulatory controls that are carried out by men. The public authority, public officials, and those entrusted with performing a public service, who have a law enforcement capacity.

In addition, the qualifying program included 110 training sessions, the topics of which were divided into two parts, the first part of which included general topics related to the definition of judicial and administrative accuracy, and criminal law in terms of inspection and inspection procedures and cases of invalidity, with an explanation of laws and legislation on relevant topics and their practical applications. In addition to training in some skills related to dealing with violators.

The second section of the program, prepared for the employees of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, focused on specialized topics related to sports arbitration and other sports legislation, and the duties of the law enforcement officer in sports violations and crimes committed, with practical applications on issuing records of these violations, and other procedures related to them according to the basic tasks of judicial control officers.

The training plan also included assigning the trainees to prepare a report on areas of development in the sports sector in educational institutions, in light of the national sports legislation in force and international comparisons.
