TAIPEI, March 26, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — AEWIN offers a range of high-performance network appliances and edge servers powered by a single AMD Zen 4c EPYC 8004 processor, codenamed Siena. The latest AMD Siena CPU is manufactured with 5nm manufacturing technology and has up to 64 cores (extreme density of 2CCX/CCD) and 225W TDP with lower power consumption compared to EPYC SP5. The Siena SP6 CPU has the best performance per watt and is supported by Rich I/O and CXL 1.1.

SCB-1945 (1U) and SCB-1947A (2U) are two high-performance network appliances that provide 12x DDR5 sockets and 4x/8x PCIe Gen5 slots for AEWIN self-design NICs with 1G to 100G copper/fiber -Support interfaces (with/without bypass function) or other accelerators and NVMe SSDs. Both models offer the ability to convert 2 front PCIe slots to 1 PCIe x16 slot to install a commercially available add-on card for additional functionality. They support installed 400G NIC cards such as NVIDIA Mellanox PCIe 5.0 NIC.

They offer high throughput and low latency for compute-intensive workloads. The customer can opt for high capacity internal storage that supports up to 4x native SATA/mSATA SSD. The motherboard itself also supports two M.2 2280 NVMe SSDs as high-speed boot devices for the operating system. Both models benefit from the energy-efficient Sienna CPU and feature exceptional computing power and a short design (SCB-1945: 548 mm; SCB-1947A: 600 mm) to achieve higher speeds for edge computing and networks.

To further expand the capabilities of AI, the SCB-1947C is a 2U edge computing server with a socket that offers double-wide PCIe x16 slots to support GPU/FPGA cards for intelligent applications. In addition to the GPU slots, 4x PCIe 5.0 x8 slots are available for NIC, accelerator or NVMe SSDs. Tasks requiring AI workloads can be effortlessly completed at the edge of the network with the SCB-1947C.

The SCB-1945 and SCB-1947 series support the OT006B module for AEWIN Trusted Secure Boot (TSB V2 module) to ensure the first line of firmware security during the boot process. The TPM 2.0 module is also supported to enable authentication of hardware devices and ensure the integrity of the hardware platform.
