Woojin B&G (CEO Kang Jae-gu) is accelerating the development of the swine influenza vaccine (SIV).
Woojin B&G was recently selected for the Ministry of Science and ICT’s biomedical technology development project (future infectious diseases) along with Chonbuk National University College of Veterinary Medicine and Kyungpook National University College of Medicine, securing the foundation for the development of a vaccine for swine influenza, a zoonotic infectious disease.
In this research project, we will secure new and variant animal influenza A virus vaccine antigens in Korea and build an evaluation platform for the risk of infection in pigs and humans.
In particular, we plan to develop a vaccine candidate by isolating the recently prevalent domestic swine influenza virus.
Woojin B&G Vaccine Research Institute said, “We will repay you by launching good products to contribute to the ONE-HEALTH blueprint where people, animals, and the environment coexist. “We will become a Woojin B&G that takes further leaps forward,” he said.
