Accident between two trucks on the E40 in Barchon, the highway is closed and one person died

An accident involving two trucks occurred late Wednesday morning on the E40, near Barchon. Firefighters from the VHP zone intervened on the spot. There is a death according to the mayor of Soumagne.

The firefighters of the Vesdre, Hoëgne & Plateau area are on the A3/E40, in the Battice direction towards Liège, near Barchon, for a traffic accident involving two trucks this Wednesday at the end of the morning. One of the trucks involved appeared to be carrying bags of clothing which ended up strewn across the road.

Traffic will be disrupted for some time to allow the emergency services to work safely. The motorway is thus closed at the height of Barchon. The traffic jams are already going back several kilometers according to the firefighters.

A person would be stuck in his vehicle according to the rescue. According to the mayor of Soumagne, we deplore one death.
