Ratingen – Mass collision on the A 52! Five cars collided in a traffic accident late Sunday evening. According to the fire department, two people were injured.
Apparently, a large puddle of water in the area of the Tiefenbroich junction (towards Kreuz Breitscheid) was the trigger for the crash on the A 52. The heavy rain had flooded the area in places and could not drain off due to clogged gullies.
The Ratingen fire brigade was alerted around 11 p.m. because five cars, including several BMW, Audi and Mercedes, had collided in the two left lanes.
There were twelve occupants in the vehicles. One seriously injured and one slightly injured person were transported to a hospital.
