Assistant Clerical Officers mainly perform general clerical duties related to one or more of the following functional areas, which may involve a wide range of duties:
General Office Support Services; Personnel; Finance and Accounting; Customer Service; Licensing and Registration; Support to Government Counsel and Court Support and Registry Services to Judges and Court Users; Statistical Duties; IT Support Services; Other Departments support services. Assistant Clerical Officers will be deployed to government offices in any part of Hong Kong and will be required to use IT applications to perform their duties. They may be required to work irregular hours or in shifts and wear uniforms at work.
ACO Assistant Clerical Officer｜Entry Requirements
Applicants to the ACO must:
(a)(i) Level 2 or equivalent or above in five subjects in HKDSEE, one of which is Mathematics, or equivalent; or (ii) Level 2/E in five subjects in HKCEE (b) met the language proficiency requirements, i.e. obtained Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or possessed Equivalent results; (c) Chinese word processing speed of 20 words per minute and English word processing speed of 30 words per minute, and knowledge of general business computer software; and (d) obtained in the “Basic Law and Hong Kong National Security Law” test Pass grade.
