Manama: The Labor Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) has taken action once morest the manpower agency that operated without approval. The illegal agency was discovered during an inspection conducted in collaboration with the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science under the Ministry of Home Affairs. They used to bring expatriates to Bahrain by offering high paying jobs. However, following arriving here, many were being exploited.
They cheated the victims by giving fake job advertisements through social media. It was brought to Bahrain by collecting a huge amount of money from those who fell into the trap following seeing the advertisement.
The case has been handed over to the public prosecution for further action once morest the firm. The LMRA urged the public to be vigilant to avoid falling into the trap of unlicensed recruitment agents. It was also informed that the investigation will continue to find illegal activities.
