His lawyer Norman Synek confirmed this to the German Press Agency in Munich on Tuesday. Wepper is “already on the road to recovery.” The “Bild” newspaper had previously reported that the 82-year-old was admitted to a Munich hospital two weeks ago.
Wepper’s most famous role was that of assistant Harry in the crime series “Derrick”, and he was also known as Mayor Wolfgang Wöller in the ARD television series “Um Himmels Willen”. His younger brother Elmar died in October at the age of 79.
