Chennai: Famous drama and film actor Poo Ramu has passed away. He died of a heart attack. He was 60 years old. He died in Chennai.
He has done notable roles in films like Pariyerum Perumal, Karnan and Surai Pot. Ramu played the father of Surya in Surai Port and Dhanush in Karnan. She has also acted in films like Peranp, Tilak, Neer Parvai and Thanka Meenkal. Her last film was Kodiyil Oruvan.
Ramu made his film debut in 2008 with Poo. After that it came to be known as Poo Ramu. Before he got into cinema, he used to do street plays.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has expressed his condolences on the death of Poo Ramu. MK Stalin recalled that Ramu was a street theater artist who brought leftist ideas to the masses. Udayanidhi Stalin had visited Poo Ramu at the hospital. Actor Mammootty and others paid homage to Poo Ramu.
