Pakistani film star Meera has appealed to women to cast their votes for the elections to be held on February 8.
A video message of actress Meera is going viral on the social networking website X (formerly Twitter) in which she said, “I am in New York with my family and there is an election here too, everyone in my family is February 8.” They are discussing about the elections to be held in Pakistan”.
Meera said that “I was discussing with my father that Pakistani women should have compulsory vote because the role of women is very important in the change of society”.
The actress appealed to the women of Pakistan and said that “you must vote with your families on February 8, vote for your favorite leader and exercise your right”.
He said that “voting is your right, you can change Pakistan and your future through your vote, so I appeal to you to cast your vote”.
Meera said about New York’s weather, “The weather here is great, the women in my house are cooking while my father is eating jamun because he is a diabetic.”
Addressing the women of Pakistan, the film star added, “Take care of your health, take care of your future and Pakistan too.”
