Acute respiratory infections: more than 5,700 cases recorded from August 8 to 14

The Ministry of Health recorded a total of 5,709 cases of acute respiratory infections from August 8 to 14. A week earlier, there were 6,734, which represents a drop.

This information was communicated by Dr. Fazil Khodabaccus of the Ministry of Health to RadioPlus this Thursday, August 18. The latter maintains that we must remain vigilant and maintain barrier gestures. August being the coldest month of the year, the risk of viral infection is always there, he specifies.

The doctor strongly recommends the vaccine to those who have not yet had the flu shot as well.
