Representative Ibrahim Kanaan pointed out that “dealing with the issue of the displaced with reactions is easy and dangerous at the same time, and holds those responsible with great responsibility.”

He believed that “today, what is required is not to contribute to turning the displaced into a generalized state of hostility in all Lebanese regions and to push towards the detonation of this bomb on our land when it should have been dealt with in the first place and in 2011 in a different way, not with open borders and far from politics, interests and exploitation at the time.”

Kanaan added: “Leave the army and security services to address the security gaps and problems, and support the municipalities and administrative and local authorities to regulate their situation through a clear plan within the villages and towns. All work in politics, internationally and locally, is focused on pressure to find radical solutions to their presence in Lebanon, and there are many serious internal and external means.”
