She is 54 years old, has a degree in Gastronomic and Hotel Business Administration. In her curriculum, she appears to be one of the assemblers of the traditional Potrerillo de Larreta, in Alta Gracia. She also worked in business development for Osde and Sancor insurance. In her past, she worked as a hotel manager in the Chapelco Valley in San Martín de Los Andes during the winter and in the United States in the summer. She didn’t stop.
His current family is made up of Eduardo Copello, his partner and their three children: Eduardo (22), Bautista (20) and Delfina (13).
With less than 30 votes, she was elected as the new mayor of Mendiolaza. She will end 24 years of rule by Daniel Salibi. It was a tough battle, vote by vote to be the new president-elect.
“Look, the difference is 28 votes. They were enough to be able to win” affirms the elected candidate and next head of the municipality. She acknowledges that she already celebrated in the provisional scrutiny, although she had only a 44-vote difference.

The current mayor was not an ally and many times, according to Adela, “he did the impossible to prevent her from being a candidate”. His space had surveys that confirmed the possibility of winning, something that confirmed the work done for more than four years in the town. Before being a councilor, Arning had already been involved in local politics as a representative of an incipient neighborhood center “that we didn’t achieve much,” he admits.
He has not yet communicated with the governor-elect Martín Llaryora, whom he only greeted at some event. He himself will ask to be able to enter the Metropolitan Entity and “to be able to manage some of the benefits for the city”
The employee and transparency, axes of the new management
His first steps within the management will be to “make a diagnosis of the Municipal state. After 24 from the same administration, which grew exponentially, which has about 300 employees who joined for friendship and relationships”.
He assures that the municipalities will be his allies, and in order for them to provide a better service, he will seek to train them. “People deserve an opportunity, perhaps not everyone can adapt to the culture, but we have to rise to the challenge. Part of what I see is that many work in fear, without expectations, without leadership. We have to transform the human resource”, affirms Adela.
Another of the challenges that Arning poses is to make the city attractive to the neighbor and make him feel that he is his own. To do this, according to the future president, “we have the plan to create a cultural pole and another gastronomic one that invites people to experience the city again. Many of us live more in Villa Allende than in Mendiolaza, ”she says.
“We have everything to do” is the leitmotiv of his future government. Beginning with “ordering the administration and recovering the stream that crosses the city. That it be controllable in the growing season and enjoyable by the families afterwards, not a dark area”.
“We have a plan. Maybe we can’t end it all”, Adela says, that she will try to give her management an air of professionalism, just as she did in her years in charge of business projects of which she was a part, transforming them into tourist icons.
