The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, ADNOC, plans to establish a carbon trading office, as companies seek to reduce pollution and emissions.

ADNOC will create the funds from its low-emissions projects, as well as those of other industries in the country, according to informed sources told Bloomberg.

The credits would offset potential carbon taxes imposed on high-emitting exported products.
