Representative George Adwan announced, following meeting the strong republican bloc, President-designate Najib Mikati, “that the conditions we set cannot be applied in the last three months of this covenant.” It is possible to restore relations with foreign countries.
He continued, “The strong republic bloc will not participate in this government, and our monitoring of it will be fierce. We hope that the parliament will move as soon as possible to electing a new president of the republic, because then all the conditions we talked regarding can be applied.”
He added: “Our triumvirate is a people, a state and an army, and we will present our program that is required of the next president of the republic, and the person who complies with the program becomes our candidate for the presidency.”
