“This Legislative Assembly is going to change the Constitution and the next Assembly is going to ratify it†: Miguel Fortín Magañaa 2024-02-23 12:41:09

This Monday in the Encuentro con Julio interview, the president of the Libertad Movement, Miguel Fortín Magaña, assured that El Salvador is heading into a dark moment, in which the current Legislative Assembly will change the Constitution of the Republic and that the next congress who takes office on May 1 of this year, will ratify it, allowing indefinite re-election, thereby consummating a dictatorship in the country.

“The darkest time of the Republic is coming. It has already been seen that the Bukelato is going to have a majority in this Assembly and that is disastrous for El Salvador.â€said Magaña, who also highlighted that with these changes the presidential term could be extended to 6 years and then it would be like in the countries of Egypt and Haiti, where the presidential term is for life.

In this context, he indicated that the country will experience a dictatorship that will be consolidated through fear, murder and many politically persecuted people.

“Bukele is neither from the right nor from the left, he is a populist and he is going to do what interests Bukele and he is going to order whoever is no longer interested to do whatever… Villatoro already said it, they are going to put not only the gang members are sent to prison, but a large gang of captured people is coming and those are the ones who are against Bukele.â€assured the president of the Freedom Movement.

On another topic, he referred to the death of the former Security Advisor, Alejandro Muyshondt, and said that he saw photos of the body so he assured that he had bruises on his mouth and eyes. Furthermore, he clarified that after a person dies there is no longer an inflammatory healing process, which is why he stated that he had external signs of having been beaten.

“Forensic Medicine is within the Supreme Court of Justice, so there is no legal medicine in the country, since it has a puppet director. Nobody wanted to do the autopsy and those who are already retired told me that they couldn’t do it because they could be killed.â€he asserted.

Finally, Fortín Magaña highlighted that what happened to Muyshondt is an example of what many Salvadorans experience because of the current Government, where due process and in-depth investigations are not carried out by the State.

“In the case of a person as public as the former security advisor of the Government, a thorough investigation is carried out, but here the corrupt Forensic Medicine is ordered to tell lies.â€aggregate.
