– Adam Page returned to the ring at the AEW House Rules house show in Salem, Virginia this weekend (check the results HERE). This was The Hangman’s first match since the March 15, 2023 episode of AEW Dynamite. Page was killed two weeks later, on the April 5 episode of AEW Dynamite, from an angle injury following an attack by Blackpool Combat Club written from the shows. His return to the TV shows shouldn’t be long in coming.
– Matt Jackson received ring clearance from doctors last week and will soon be able to return to the ring after partially tearing his bicep. The 38-year-old decided not to have an operation and opted for an alternative therapy, which significantly reduced downtime. An operation would have resulted in a break of about 7 months, but even without the operation he is fit again sooner than he had actually hoped. Matt has been back in weight training for a few weeks and was able to train in the ring for the first time last week. The injury was suffered by Nick Jackson’s older brother on the March 15, 2023 edition of AEW Dynamite.
– Last week’s top merchandise seller was Danhausen. The AEW brand itself, Kenny Omega, Eddie Kingston and Adam Cole followed in that order. As for individual shirts, Danhausen’s “Carnivalhausen” design sold the most, followed by “Kenny Omega Mind Control”, “AEW Arcade”, “Eddie Kingston Demons”, “Adam Cole Bay Bay” and “FTR 7 Star”. Danhausen also led sales at prowrestlingtees.com. Here the Bullet Club, the AEW brand, Adam Cole and Eddie Kingston are in the next places. As for individual shirts, Danhausen’s “Curse” design sold the most, followed by “Eddie Kingston Demons” and “Kenny Omega Street Fighter”.
